 My name is Ariel Pickholtz and I am an AS level media studies student. I go to Fort Lauderdale High School. I like my school because it provides many interesting courses, like media studies. I had a ton of fun filming my previous projects so I think I am going to enjoy working on my final task. However I am worried that I might be overwhelmed with all the factors that come with the final task. I am worried that I will do one small thing wrong that can affect the entire project. But, knowing me, I will get everything done to my greatest potential. I am excited to research different genres to see which one I like the best. I'm also excited to see what conventions are used in the genre I pick. I think I am leaning toward romance or thriller. I recently watched Fear Street Part 1 and thought it was very interesting. Genre Research: Comedy

 Camera angles that are used in comedies include: eye level and high angle. Eye level allows the viewers to see all of the people in the scenes reactions. Seeing everyone reaction to, for example, a joke, makes the film or scene more comedic. High angles are used to make subjects seem inferior, this can be used in comedies to make fun of the subject. Camera movements used in comedies include: intense zoom ins and tracking shots. Intense zoom ins are used to potentially break the fourth wall and create an effect where the physical camera either bumps into the actor or gets an awkward close up on their face. Tracking shots are used to follow the character, possibly if they are running away from something. The costumes for comedies differ and usually are based on the actors profession, a suit if the actor is a lawyer or uniform if a student. May incorporate basic comedic costume, like a clown suit.  Hi, my name is Ariel Pickholtz. I am 16 years old, and I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I love my cat very much. I love to go thrifting, hanging out at the beach, and spending time with my friends and family in my freetime. I have a boyfriend that I have been together with for 7 months and counting. I love doing photography and videography. I also enjoy playing tennis and watching football games. One film I can really appreciate is Avatar because it is so ahead of its time and it's very interesting. I also love the movie Rio for their amazing soundtrack. I decided to take AICE media studies because I like films and I wanted to see everything that goes into them.
