CCR Analysis

  1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? Usually in Apple or Air Pod commercials music is involved. So, in our commercial we used music. The use of walking also takes place during the commercial. Again, we made sure the actor was walking. Apple advertisements typically take place outside, so my group and I made sure to film outside. Medium shots are used in many Apple advertisements, we used the same technique. However, in Apple commercials, dancing (with talented dancers) is involved most of the time, we don't have a professional dancer in our groups so we could not incorporate that aspect. Our product represents wealth, something many people do not have. You get what you pay for, the new Air Pod Pro's have a lot of new high-tech qualities and in return they are quite pricey. So, only people who have spare money can afford them.  2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a

Commercial Blog

We completely finished the commercial. I had a lot of fun. I enjoyed filming. I also enjoyed working with my team. I like my teammates and glad we got to know each other. It was easy to talk to my teammates. The open communications made it easy to solve problems. I feel like I have new people that will help me when in need. This project was very good to improve my social skills. I hope the rest of the year's projects will be this fun.

Editing Day 2 Blog

Today is day 2 of editing the commercial. The conditions were explained to us in the beginning of class and I had some questions for my teammates. I asked to see our final product. Monzur sent me the final commercial that he edited. I overlooked it to see if I could give any suggestions. I noticed a watermark and asked if we could remove it. I was told that there was another final product without the watermark. I asked how he removed it and Monzur said he paid for it. I  also noticed that on one slide he said Noise cancelation: off, and the other one only had Noise cancelation. I told the editor that we should also mention that the accessory is on. My suggestion was added to the commercial. I showed my peers the commercial and they enjoyed it. Then they showed me theirs. It was very good. I am curious if my teacher is going to think ours is good. I decided to do my blog now since most of the editing is done. The commercial didn't come out exactly how I envisioned it. But I still t

Editing Day 1 Blog

Today is the first day of editing my group and I's commercial. I believe we only need to put the clips together. Obviously the commercial needs some transitions as well. iMovie will be used to edit for the most part. A consensus that was made for one part of the commercial was to have a rewind. Unfortunately iMovie doesn't have that feature. I suggested that we take the clip, import it into the app Snapchat and rewind it there. The school wifi is not really working so my group and I are having difficulties accessing everything. My groupmate Monzur is trying to get the footage after I asked to see. I suggested that he edits because he has prior experience. I also said I would be able to help in editing because I know how to use iMovie as well. However, I don't exactly know how to import specific music. For the commercial I would need to put in the song that is being listened to. I may have to use or find a different editing software. I also said I could edit because the ori

Filming Day 2 Blog

Today I was actually present for filming our commercial. In the beginning of class we went outside to finish filming. My group caught me up on everything they did in the class periods that I was absent in. They showed me the footage they filmed. Then we communicated what we needed to film to finish the commercial. I thought they would have filmed horizontally but to my surprise they filmed vertically. So, since I wanted to help in the making of the commercial I filmed the rest of the shots. At first I filmed horizontally but they said the other shots were vertical so I had to reshoot them. It was very hot outside and we only had an hour to film because we didn't want to film while the second lunch was released. We ran into a problem with the costumes though. We realized Aaron was wearing a different shirt in the first days' shots than today. But we solved it by changing the song that he was listening to that goes with his shirt. Since he was wearing a blue shirt we thought he
