My Pitch
My first pitch goes like this: Imagine on a dark rainy day, a girl is writing in her diary about someone out to get her and suddenly gets killed. Who done it?
I think I would have a lot of fun doing a movie based on a murder mystery because it is easy to get the watcher interested. I would have fun introducing all of the potential suspects and their alibis most of all. Then toward the end I can leave it on a sort of cliff hanger to really engage my audience. It can be easy to do because it only takes place in one setting. I also have actors handy that can be a part of it. However, I'm not sure about it because it might be done a lot. But, ultimately I think I can produce a never-before-seen plot that will blow away my audience.
My second pitch would go as following: A criminal mastermind gathers other mastermind to pull of the biggest heist in history, stealing the president's car.
I knew I wanted to incorporate a car in some aspect of my film because I want to show off my boyfriends Mustang. I think this storyline could be cool because I've never seen a film about stealing the president's car. However, I am not sure how I would make it really interesting in 2 minutes besides introducing the masterminds. Also, I don't think I could make it realistic because I would have to get many actors to play guards and background characters. I also don't have a setting that looks like the white house so it wouldn't make any sense.
My second pitch sounds fun but I think I am going to stick with my first one: A girl gets brutally murdered by an unknown suspect while writing about a betrayal in her diary.
