Things That Went Wrong

 I did not have a good weekend. I was supposed to continue or finish filming. This did not happen. I was planning on filming on Sunday. I had to go to my grandparents house on Saturday and a little bit on Sunday. I was counting on my actors being available. However, they were not. My actors that play Avery's parents were supposed to come around 3-4 on Sunday. Last minute they canceled on me. The actor that plays Avery's dad was the root to the problem because he got in trouble by his parents. The actress that plays Avery's mom got called to work all of a sudden. The news made me very sad and stressed because I wanted to get the filming done before spring break so I could start editing. Now I am probably going to have to start over. I wish I finished filming the day I started but things went wrong that day too. The candle I was using was not cooperating. Also, the actress that was supposed to play Avery's sister didn't want to film because she looked bad and didn't want to get ready. So, I just quit for the day hoping I would finish the following weekend. Unfortunately I am going away all spring break so I have to make sure I bring all the props I need. I need to make sure I bring a candle, lighter as well as a diary/notebook, and pen. Also, I am going to have different actors which is going to be a pain to explain everything I need to film all over again. Hopefully I can get everything done in a day, I am just worried about having a quiet set...

Last Minute Filming

 Today I filmed some extra stuff for the film and some things I just forgot to film. I forgot to film the part where Avery's mother, father, and brother run to the scream that they heard. So, I filmed that. Also, I forgot to film the bit where Avery's mom calls 911. So I filmed that with a close up of her calling. Previously when I was editing I noticed my film was running short. To fix this, I filmed a part where Avery's dad shakes hands with the detective. I think I will end the film with that clip. Another way to fix this is I filmed a part where Avery walks and sits down at her desk and starts writing. Hopefully this will make my film the right size. The filming process was fairly easy. I had to make sure the set was the same. To do this I cleaned the room we filmed in. It was, however, a struggle to get my actors together. Whenever Sebastian wasn't busy Izzy was. And vice versa. Thriller for the Win

 My decision for my film is to be thriller based. Even though it's not my favorite type of movie to watch, I think it would be fun to film. My pitch is also a type to be thriller because it is a murder mystery. I didn't want it to be a comedy because I don't think I could come up with a funny script. It also wouldn't be good as a romance because someone got murdered, not engaged. I am excited to make my thriller movie. I don't think I will take the route where its super scary though. I think I am just going to make is ominous and keep the audience on their toes. I already know I am going to incorporate screaming. I am also thinking of making the lighting dark when the detective is interrogating the suspects. I also have the perfect setting for it to take place, my boyfriends house. His house is very open and has many rooms for the suspects to have alibis. Thriller involves many different shots and types of editing so I think it will be easy to complete the mandatory...

 Hi, my name is Ariel Pickholtz. I am 16 years old, and I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I love to go thrifting, hanging out at the beach, and spending time with my friends and family in my freetime. I also love doing photography and videography.
