Another Day Of Filming

 Today on March 17, I continued filming. I started with getting everything together and cleaning up the set. I had to bring the chair that Avery sits in back in the room. I also had to clean the desk and put my props on it. Before my other actors came I filmed the scenes I didn’t do last time that only has the killer and Avery. I first filmed the shot of the candle getting blown out. Then I filmed the killer walking into the room. Then I filmed the killer stabbing with the knife. After that I filmed Avery looking at the candle then looking behind her. Next I filmed her getting stabbed and dying. I had to continuously look at notes that I took to make sure every scene was filmed properly, for example the angles they were filmed at. Then I rested/waited for an hour for my other actors to show up. Finally they showed up. I had to replace the actor that played Avery's dad but he was also good. Because of this I had to re-film the scene where the parents hear the scream and get up from what they're doing. The actor brought a friend so I saw an opportunity to use him as one of the people that take pictures of the crime scene. I added this scene last minute to fill in some time. Then we filmed the scene where the detective lets the family know what happened. I also filmed the families expressions up close. Overall, it was a fun filming day and I got everything done that I wanted to. I still have some other things to film but I will be able to edit anyway.

Last Minute Filming

 Today I filmed some extra stuff for the film and some things I just forgot to film. I forgot to film the part where Avery's mother, father, and brother run to the scream that they heard. So, I filmed that. Also, I forgot to film the bit where Avery's mom calls 911. So I filmed that with a close up of her calling. Previously when I was editing I noticed my film was running short. To fix this, I filmed a part where Avery's dad shakes hands with the detective. I think I will end the film with that clip. Another way to fix this is I filmed a part where Avery walks and sits down at her desk and starts writing. Hopefully this will make my film the right size. The filming process was fairly easy. I had to make sure the set was the same. To do this I cleaned the room we filmed in. It was, however, a struggle to get my actors together. Whenever Sebastian wasn't busy Izzy was. And vice versa. Thriller for the Win

 My decision for my film is to be thriller based. Even though it's not my favorite type of movie to watch, I think it would be fun to film. My pitch is also a type to be thriller because it is a murder mystery. I didn't want it to be a comedy because I don't think I could come up with a funny script. It also wouldn't be good as a romance because someone got murdered, not engaged. I am excited to make my thriller movie. I don't think I will take the route where its super scary though. I think I am just going to make is ominous and keep the audience on their toes. I already know I am going to incorporate screaming. I am also thinking of making the lighting dark when the detective is interrogating the suspects. I also have the perfect setting for it to take place, my boyfriends house. His house is very open and has many rooms for the suspects to have alibis. Thriller involves many different shots and types of editing so I think it will be easy to complete the mandatory...

 Hi, my name is Ariel Pickholtz. I am 16 years old, and I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I love to go thrifting, hanging out at the beach, and spending time with my friends and family in my freetime. I also love doing photography and videography.
