Thriller for the Win

My decision for my film is to be thriller based. Even though it's not my favorite type of movie to watch, I think it would be fun to film. My pitch is also a type to be thriller because it is a murder mystery. I didn't want it to be a comedy because I don't think I could come up with a funny script. It also wouldn't be good as a romance because someone got murdered, not engaged. I am excited to make my thriller movie. I don't think I will take the route where its super scary though. I think I am just going to make is ominous and keep the audience on their toes. I already know I am going to incorporate screaming. I am also thinking of making the lighting dark when the detective is interrogating the suspects. I also have the perfect setting for it to take place, my boyfriends house. His house is very open and has many rooms for the suspects to have alibis. Thriller involves many different shots and types of editing so I think it will be easy to complete the mandatory elements. I think it will be fun to keep my audience engaged. Coming up with every alibi is also going to be fun. I plan on brainstorming the alibis with the people who are gonna act them to see what they want to do. This way, I can make the filming process fun for everyone. I also asked my actors what type of film they liked and they said Thriller or Horror. This was in my favor. I am excited to edit potentially slow mos or freeze frames to make it suspenseful and to introduce the characters. I am going to do more research on how to perfect my thriller film.
