 For this project, I will be filming at my boyfriend's house. This is the only location.

Health and Safety

There will be no actual violence used in this film. The blood will be fake as well as the weapon. Just in case, there will be an adult supervisor that has access to a phone to call 911.

Backup Plan:

If some of my actors are not available I will film the shots that do not include them. If the setting is not available, I will use my friends house and ask permission beforehand. If I am not able to find a fake knife I will create one out of cardboard to ensure ultimate safety. If I am unable to film on my phone due to no storage I will ask to use someone elses phone or buy more storage.

Schedule

2/22/22: Ask my actors their availability, ask for the license agreement for the song "Spirits In The                           Material World" by The Police.

2/27/22- 3/6/22: Possibly start filming as much as possible, record the voiceover.

3/12/22-3/13/22: If there are any scenes to be filmed, finish that. Look for songs that don't have copyright to use in the film as background music.

3/14/22- 3/26/22: Start editing, maybe finish.

Last Minute Filming

 Today I filmed some extra stuff for the film and some things I just forgot to film. I forgot to film the part where Avery's mother, father, and brother run to the scream that they heard. So, I filmed that. Also, I forgot to film the bit where Avery's mom calls 911. So I filmed that with a close up of her calling. Previously when I was editing I noticed my film was running short. To fix this, I filmed a part where Avery's dad shakes hands with the detective. I think I will end the film with that clip. Another way to fix this is I filmed a part where Avery walks and sits down at her desk and starts writing. Hopefully this will make my film the right size. The filming process was fairly easy. I had to make sure the set was the same. To do this I cleaned the room we filmed in. It was, however, a struggle to get my actors together. Whenever Sebastian wasn't busy Izzy was. And vice versa. Thriller for the Win

 My decision for my film is to be thriller based. Even though it's not my favorite type of movie to watch, I think it would be fun to film. My pitch is also a type to be thriller because it is a murder mystery. I didn't want it to be a comedy because I don't think I could come up with a funny script. It also wouldn't be good as a romance because someone got murdered, not engaged. I am excited to make my thriller movie. I don't think I will take the route where its super scary though. I think I am just going to make is ominous and keep the audience on their toes. I already know I am going to incorporate screaming. I am also thinking of making the lighting dark when the detective is interrogating the suspects. I also have the perfect setting for it to take place, my boyfriends house. His house is very open and has many rooms for the suspects to have alibis. Thriller involves many different shots and types of editing so I think it will be easy to complete the mandatory...

 Hi, my name is Ariel Pickholtz. I am 16 years old, and I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I love to go thrifting, hanging out at the beach, and spending time with my friends and family in my freetime. I also love doing photography and videography. I have a cat that lays next to me everytime I do homework on my bed. I also enjoy playing tennis and watching football games. One film I can really appreciate is Avatar because it is so ahead of its time and it's very interesting. I also love the movie Rio for their amazing soundtrack. I decided to take AICE media studies because I like films and I wanted to see everything that goes into them.
