Planning Blog

Props: Since our group decided to use the Airpods Pro the props that we will be using will be an iPhone and the Airpods Pro themselves.

Costumes: In our commercial, we have one main character, and 2 side subjects. Our actors will wear normal/trendy clothes, they would wear items that they would wear everyday to simulate like it was just a normal day for them. The main actor will have an iPhone in hand, and an AirPod in each ear so to show them off to the viewer.

Schedule:

  • On 9/22/21 our group researched conventions and the background of AirPods Pro commercials. We also decided on our location list, props, costumes, backup plan, and made sure we were sticking to our schedule. We tried to get the most that we could done to make sure that on the next day of working we had enough time to get the next step done.

  • On 9/24/21 our group will get together to create the storyboard for our 30 second commercial. We will use this time to edit any ideas we have before filming the commercial and make sure the commercial overall makes sense.

  • On 9/28/21 our group will get together to begin to film at our various locations to gather our clips that we will use to then edit.

  • On 9/30/21 our group will meet together to focus on the edits and final additions to our commercial. We will then watch the movie a few times and compare it to our storyboard and make sure what we drew became a reality in our commercial.

Location List: For the location of our commercial, we will begin to film at the senior patio to collect the beginning shots of our commercial. After we have gotten all of the scenes we would like from there, we will go over to the track and field to get the other clips for the other parts of our commercial. This is where the other actors in our commercial will come in and be on set with Aaron.

Backup plan: We have thought of a couple backup ideas in case multiple situations come up. In case the weather is not cooperating, then we will be able to go to the cafeteria and be able to shoot there where we could show off the same thing to the viewer just with a different perspective. In case the cafeteria is empty at the time it is raining we can also go to the second floor of the gym and use that as a set for our commercial. We can then edit noise and music in or out to have an emotional feeling with the viewer. If the AirPods Pro or the iPhone we are going to use for the commercial do not work we are able to easily have another on set within 5 minutes. We can use these situations as a backup because they will still be able to show off the main point we are trying to get across to the viewer.
