First Day Filming

I started filming part of my film on March 5. I was at my boyfriends house and I was informing him about my project. I figured that day I would only film the scenes with just Avery and the killer. To my surprise, my friends Isabela and Christian came over and I saw an opportunity. I asked them if they wanted to help me with my project then and they agreed. First I had to tell them what they had to do. So, I read my storyboard to them. I also used my storyboard as a refresher of what I had to film and how. I used Christian to film and I told him how to do it because he had previous experience with film making. We ended up doing many scenes. We started with doing the scenes of Avery writing in her diary. Then we did the scenes of the killer walking. Unfortunately we didn't get the scene of the killer actually killing because the candle wasn't working. When that happened, we skipped to the part where the detective knocks on the door and the Dad answers. After that, I filmed the scenes where the parents hear a scream and act surprised. I also filmed the brother hearing the scream and acting surprised as well. The only scenes I have left to film is when the sister finds Avery and when the detective is informing the family. Overall, it was a productive filming day. It didn't take as long as I originally thought it would. But, my friends were trying to make major changes and I had to explain to them that I couldn't because then I would have to edit many of my past blogs.
